Well the question is always asked who will be the next Dawid, Sean, Hank or Oscar. And thanks to Varsity College and the Marine Surf Ski Series we will get a pretty good idea on the 25th of March when it hosts the SA Inter Schools Champs.
This will be the 2nd running of the event and it was great to see the bigger turn out at the Western Province Inter Schools last Friday which served as the trial for the SA leg in Durban on the 25th.
Pete and his Orka Training Squad has had an influx of juniors, all wanting to take there paddling seriously, and all training very hard. So it was great to see them all have such great races and dominate the WP Inter Schools. With the top three boys and top 2 girls all going to Durban it was great to see the competitive racing on the 5 lap 6km course. In the boy Dom Notten came out on top ahead of Craig Flanagan and Kenny Rice.

Here are some great photos of the event by Meds Martin.
