Fenn Cape Point Challenge Results

First of all congratulations to all who finished the 2009 CPC, it was definitely not easy, to those that didn't, there is always next year, diarise it now and mark it down as a must do event for 2010.
Just a few stats before the results, this year was the biggest entry ever, 252 paddlers entered (65 doubles and 122 singles) of this 219 paddlers finished (56 Doubles and 107 singles).....so WELL DONE.

Change a Life

Martin Dreyer's "Change A Life Team".
After winning the Duzi Canoe marathon for a seventh time with Michael Mbanjwa, and having seen the raw talented youngsters that would tag along on there training sessions Martin decided to create an Acadamy at Nagal Dam deep in the Umgeni valley in the heart of the Duzi with the aim of getting 10 of the youngsters to finish in the top 50 of the 2009 Duzi Canoe marathon, not only did they do this but 2 finished in the top 10, 8 in the top 20 and 12 in the ...

Cape Point Training Final Week

Almost there, keep it together and you should be in for a cracker. Well the first long range weather forecasts are coming in and they seem to change from hour to hour so still nothing definite, but looking like a medium swell with not much wind at this stage, maybe a NW so long hard paddle home.

 

It is also with a heavy heart that I write this Blog, as the Peter Creese Lighthouse Race, the oldest and best race which until today was canceled, Peter was one of my and many of the other Fish Hoek...

Cape Point Training Week 13

Sorry for the delay in getting this weeks training up, you should be chomping at the bit to get stuck into the last 2 weeks of build up for the Fenn Cape Point Challenge.
